On behalf of the board, staff and volunteers I would like to invite you to LADS Annual General Meeting.
You can download the official notice, draft constitution, explanatory notes by clicking on each of the links below, register your attendance by filling out the online form at the bottom of this page.
A message about constitutional change: from time to time, an organisation needs to review its constitution, to ensure it reflects current activities and operations. New members may not be aware that LADS commenced a constitutional review in 2014/15, to respond to changing legislation, new reporting standards and governance practices. The LADS Board established a Constitution Review Sub Committee, who have proposed changes to be put to the vote at the AGM.
A constitutional review is generally recommended every two to three years, to ensure compliance with both state and federal law – this review was overdue.
This is also a great opportunity to nominate for the Board of LADS. You may have noticed the call for expressions of interest, the response has been exciting. Positive and proactive people looking to join the board, will need to nominate. If you would like to find out more about joining the board visit the board recruitment page.
Nominations are due 7 days prior to the AGM (Monday 16th May) and can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, posted or hand delivered to the office. All nominations should be addressed to the attention of the Returning Officer. If you have any questions regarding your nomination please do not hesitate to contact us.
We have an outstanding field of nominees and nominations have officially closed. To find out more about the nominees download brief biographies and comments.
One of the many benefits of LADS membership is the ability to vote at the AGM. While the meeting is open to all - if you intend to vote or nominate or lodging a nomination (or supporting one), please ensure your membership is current. If you are unable to attend you can also lodge a proxy, which means someone can vote on your behalf.
