Parenting and Promoting Growth in Kids with ADHD

Parenting can be joyful and fulfilling, but it can also be challenging and stressful. Parenting a child with additional needs is even more challenging, and for that reason specialised strategies are often needed.

ADHD WA are offering carers a 6-session group intervention focused on additional parenting strategies for ADHD, for those caring for a child who has a formal diagnosis of ADHD and the child is aged 6-12 years old.

This will be a highly practical group with between-session practice tasks, that we hope will be of great benefit to those who attend.

The focus is on raising awareness of ADHD behaviours, increasing the chances of desired behaviour, responding to challenging and undesired behaviour, and using rewards and quality time along the way.
