Description

Executive Function Skills Training Group for Adults with ADHD

Clients with ADHD often struggle with executive function skills. This includes aspects such as time management, prioritizing, breaking tasks down, getting started, and completing projects. It is also important to manage frustrations and self-doubt when faced with challenges. Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist Dr Andrew Sheridan is offering a 6-session group intervention at ADHD WA, focused on boosting productivity at a cost of $110 per session. This will be a highly practical group with between-session practice tasks, that we hope will be of great benefit to those who attend. Medicare rebates are available to those with a GP or Psychiatrist referral.

  • Executive Function Skills Group
  • Group Size 8-10 people
  • Open to ADHD WA Members
  • 6 session format starting 22 July 2022
  • 1.5 hours per session
  • Medicare rebate with a valid referral
  • $660 total cost for the 6 session program

For participants who are eligible, the program is offered under Medicare’s Better Access Initiative, namely Group Therapy (item 80020). To obtain the rebate, participants who are eligible need to provide ADHD WA with specialist referral to the program from their psychiatrist or a Mental Health Plan and referral from their GP stating the item number above. The referral must be dated before the start of the program, but you do not need the referral to book or participate.

The program commences on Friday 22 July from 8:15am to 9:45am, and runs for six weeks, with the subsequent sessions on 29 July, 5 August, 12 August, 19 August and the final session two weeks later on 9 September.
