Kelly Duru

I am experienced in the assessment and screening of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in individuals aged 6 to 17 years. In my current role, I conduct comprehensive evaluations using evidence-based assessment tools and collect detailed information from multiple sources, including parent interviews, teacher and parent forms, as well as direct observations during both informal interactions and cognitive assessments.

My years of experience working in a special educational needs environment have strengthened my ability to interpret and integrate data from diverse sources. This skill enables me to develop a well-rounded understanding of each child’s unique needs and provide meaningful insights to support their development.

In addition to assessment, I work with school-aged children to manage ADHD-related challenges, including anxiety, emotional regulation, impulsivity, and social interactions. My approach is relationship-focused and tailored to each child, empowering them with strategies to navigate their symptoms effectively. By collaborating closely with families and teachers, I aim to foster an inclusive and supportive environment that enhances each child’s overall well-being and success.
