Psychological & Educational Consultancy Services (PECS) was established by Dr Shane Langsford in Subiaco in…
Psychological & Educational Consultancy Services (PECS) was established by Dr Shane Langsford in Subiaco in 1999 and has grown from being a single practitioner practice to now comprising seven staff who, under Dr Langsford’s continued guidance, conduct child and adult assessments for ADHD, Specific Learning Disorder (SLD: aka Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia), and Intellectual Developmental Disorder (IDD).
Dr Langsford has a PhD in Educational Psychology, a Bachelor of Education with First-Class Honours (including a major in School Psychology), and a Bachelor of Psychology.
Dr Langsford is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) and the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Dr Langsford is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi), Australian ADHD Professionals Association (AADPA), ADHD WA (not-for-profit organisation), and the School Psychologist’s Association of Western Australia (SPAWA).
Dr Langsford is also an APS College of Educational & Developmental Psychologists Academic Member. To be awarded Full Academic Member status, an individual has to have completed a PhD in psychology, have at least two years’ experience as a researcher or educator in psychology in the College specific area of practice, and have published a notable body of relevant research in the College-specific area of practice.
In 2015, Dr Langsford was personally selected from a shortlist by the then Federal Minister of Health (the Hon Sussan Ley) to be part of the 13-member Mental Health Expert Reference Group (MHERG) tasked with providing advice to the Commonwealth Department of Health in relation to the National Review of Mental Health Programmes and Services. Dr Langsford was the only practising psychologist in Australia appointed to the group, and the only member in the group from WA.
In relation to ADHD, Dr Langsford has conducted 5000+ ADHD assessments for many WA General Practitioners, Psychiatrists, and Paediatricians; was asked in 2014 to be on the National Shire ADHD Expert Panel for the “A Snapshot of ADHD: A Consumer and Community Discussion”; and in April 2018 was the only Psychologist from Australia participating in the ADHD Institute’s “Meeting of the Minds” forum in Madrid (Spain) – which is an invite-only meeting “providing a forum for ADHD scientists and clinicians to discuss the latest scientific evidence and share best practice in the management of ADHD”. Dr Langsford was once again the only Psychologist from Australia invited to the 2019 Forum in Munich (Germany), the 2020 Forum in Stockholm (Sweden), and after a conference COVID hiatus, has been invited to the 2023 Forum in Berlin (Germany).
Dr Langsford’s PhD topic fostered an extensive knowledge of a wide range of disorders and led to the creation of the award-winning PsychProfiler, which is oriented to the DSM-5 and has been the most widely used Australian global psychiatric/psychological/educational assessment tool since 2004.

I work with adults who want to achieve more but have challenges with completing projects, organising, focusing (too much or too little) and knowing what works best to create a life that fits who they are.
Together in the coaching partnership, we take time to understand who you are and we find ways to create change that brings you closer to a life that fits.
Personality, lifestyle, learning style, neurological diversity, innate strengths, family dynamics and other influences all play a part, so you need a unique approach.
My approach to ADHD coaching and Life Organising coaching is secured firmly in action, awareness of self and surroundings and learning to further your understanding of your uniqueness including your ADHD.
Using an outside the box philosophy, I bring holistic methodologies, creativity, and fun, to design strength-based strategies and solutions.
A Certified Organizer Coach and Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation since 2020. Since 2007 assisting clients who range in a variety of neuro-types as a Professional Organiser and Organising Coach and since 2017 specialising in organising and productivity for ADHD.

You may be pleased to know that I’ve moved away from the ‘deficit model of the human experience’, ie I don’t interpret your struggles as a sign of being broken. Instead, I try to foster your sense of willingness to experience what it really means to be a real live human being with ADHD — yes, including all the ups and downs we inevitably experience.
I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents and adults (just like me!), as well as families or couples who are struggling with emotional dysregulation or other very challenging behaviours that can impact all aspects of life.
As a psychologist with ADHD, I can help by conducting diagnostic assessments (when necessary), but ultimately, I can help by developing your knowledge and skills.
While I am trained in a range of therapeutic techniques, I am particularly fond of an approach called ‘Acceptance & Commitment Therapy’ (and ‘Collaborative & Proactive Solutions’), which focusses on developing your psychological flexibility, resilience and problem-solving skills – as well as building your personal insight – which not only helps you cope better with ‘being ADHD’ but can even develop your ‘ADHD superpowers’, so you too can achieve a meaningful life! I find the ACT and CPS approaches extremely refreshing and personally satisfying — and I think you will too.

Nina is an accredited practising dietitian and disordered eating specialist dedicated to helping people with ADHD build a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food and their bodies. Having personally overcome binge eating disorder while living with undiagnosed ADHD, Nina understands the emotional toll of feeling out of control with food.
She believes that the key to transforming how you eat lies in understanding your ADHD brain—working with it, not against it. By helping you build practical, ADHD-friendly habits one small, achievable step at a time, Nina keeps it real: knowing what to do is one thing, but actually doing it consistently—without making it your whole personality—is another.
Nina’s Binge Free & Beyond Method
An evidence-based, compassionate approach that goes beyond just food to help ADHDers:
• Build consistency in eating habits—even with ADHD’s “consistently inconsistent” nature
• Rebuild trust with food and quiet the exhausting “food noise”
• Embrace a flexible, intuitive approach to eating that works with their ADHD brain
• Manage dopamine-seeking food behaviors without guilt or self-judgment
• Break free from the cycle of yo-yo dieting, binge eating, and food guilt
• Overcome black-and-white thinking and perfectionism that keep them stuck
With a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, a Master of Dietetics, and additional training in eating disorders, body image healing, trauma-informed care, and neurodiversity-affirming practices, Nina blends professional expertise with real life experience. Her fully virtual clinic, Nutrition Parlour, makes expert support accessible, no matter where you are.
