I identify and assess neurodiversity in the context of comorbid conditions every day.
I help to guide individuals through diagnosis , self acceptance, referral and management options. I help them to assess their medication side effects and guide them to achieve their potential by managing their symptoms of ADHD and ASD recommending a team approach in close collaboration with Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Paediatricians, OT and ADHD Coaches.

CRUSH therapy is a therapy service that offers relationship, sexuality, dating and sexual education to neurodivergent and disabled folk. CRUSH is piloted by myself (Kate), an Occupational Therapist and Sexologist based in Perth, Western Australia. CRUSH provides holistic sexual, relational and social support to individuals, and their support networks.I have extensive training and experience with autistic and neurodivergent folk and I am passionate about disability rights and sex. CRUSH therapy started after I noticed a discrepancy between the access and opportunity neurodivergent and intellectually disabled folk were getting to sexuality related support, and what they actually needed and had a right to access. I provide an inclusive therapy service for kids, teens, adolescents, adults and families seeking support to improve sexual literacy, sexual wellbeing and make meaningful connections. I aim to create a safe and accessible space for those I am working with through collaboration, mutual respect and utilising a person-centred approach.

I am experienced in the assessment and screening of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in individuals aged 6 to 17 years. In my current role, I conduct comprehensive evaluations using evidence-based assessment tools and collect detailed information from multiple sources, including parent interviews, teacher and parent forms, as well as direct observations during both informal interactions and cognitive assessments.

My years of experience working in a special educational needs environment have strengthened my ability to interpret and integrate data from diverse sources. This skill enables me to develop a well-rounded understanding of each child’s unique needs and provide meaningful insights to support their development.

In addition to assessment, I work with school-aged children to manage ADHD-related challenges, including anxiety, emotional regulation, impulsivity, and social interactions. My approach is relationship-focused and tailored to each child, empowering them with strategies to navigate their symptoms effectively. By collaborating closely with families and teachers, I aim to foster an inclusive and supportive environment that enhances each child’s overall well-being and success.

Martina is a Clinical Counsellor who has a wealth of extensive experience working with family members of all ages and Couples (therapy), where at least one person has been diagnosed with ADHD. Her focus is on communication, emotional regulation and coping skills, including managing trauma as a result of late diagnosis and impact of life situations. Martina also specialises in parent coaching and support for parents who are struggling with managing behaviours associated with ADHD.

As an ADDCA Associate Certified Coach (AACC) and Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), I bring over 18 years of experience as a Critical Care Nurse, Nurse Educator, and Healthcare Manager. I have worked with diverse populations, led teams, and developed tailored learning programs focused on achieving growth and balance.

My approach is grounded in compassion and evidence-based practices. I believe in creating sustainable strategies that align with your unique brain-wiring. By holding space for clients, I foster self-awareness, promote mindset shifts, and facilitate practical change to help them navigate challenges and achieve their personal and professional goals.

At our mental health occupational therapy practice, we support adults (18+) to live their best lives through neurodivergent-affirming services.
