ADHD WA Welcomes Additional $1.2 Million Funding to Support Families

ADHD WA welcomes the Cook Labor Government’s commitment to improving access to ADHD care across Western Australia. The $1.2 million in funding allocated to ADHD WA as part of the 2025-26 State Budget represents a significant investment in the wellbeing of individuals with ADHD and their families.

This funding will enable ADHD WA to expand our range of services, ensuring that families have greater access to practical support, therapy groups, education and peer networks.

With long waitlists often causing significant delays for individuals seeking assessment and treatment, ADHD WA’s wraparound programmes provide support for families waiting for specialist appointments. This funding will include a focus on supporting children adolescents, parents and caregivers  through their ADHD journey.

“Our mission is to empower people with ADHD and their families to navigate the challenges they face with confidence,” said ADHD WA. “This funding will allow us to grow our services, reach more families, and deliver tailored resources and support that truly make a difference.”

ADHD is the most common neurodevelopmental disorder affecting approximately one in 10 children and adolescents and at least five per cent of adults. Accessible wraparound services improve not just ADHD but also improve mental health outcomes and wellbeing.

We would like to thank the Cook Labor Government for recognising the importance of ADHD-specific support and investing in the future of those living with ADHD in Western Australia.

ADHD WA is a not for profit, community based organisation committed to collaborating with the government and other stakeholders to enhance the lives of individuals with ADHD and their families.
